You’re definitely correct. Been getting an average of 3 emails on SEO service offers too. I’m doing my own SEO to some of my sites at the moment and I’m pretty satisfied with the results although I’m new to this stuff. Personally, I’d rather learn SEO than have someone else do the promotions for me.

This is quite a funny discussion-i am an SEO from manchester, UK and have made the jump to make it on my own-I have heard the horror stories and even seen the way cowboy SEO companies treat customers websites. Spotting a dodge SEO company can be easy-just seek out all the sites they lay claim to have done the SEO for and investigate the backlink quality, on-page work, rankings, if you’ve got the time that is. Shouldn’t take long to figure out who the good guys are.

Yes, the medium is the (unintended) message here. And the message is not a good one.

Sadly, there are heaps of SEO companies like this one out there now. And they are often making a killing.

SEO is such a new concept to most people, they can’t spot the dodgy types. They often just go with the first SEO company they find – even if it’s via a spam e-mail. They pay a large amount for little or no benefit and then understandably end up thinking the whole industry is like that, which is very unfortunate.

Yep. The one reason I never outsource SEO work is the fact that anyone really good would really just be doing their our SEO work and making even more money than what they are charging me.

Yes i think you are right , if they really seo experts they can take there website to the top of google . i receive lots of emails to outsource projects to real seo experts but i have never seen there websites in google.

you are right, the only think that they do the bulk mailing is because they can’t put their own page on the top of google result. what a good thought, thanks for sharing.

you made a valid point up there… i also get many of such SEO mails… but as its my habit i never pay serious attention to them…
